So — been on this thing for maybe six months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m in the UK, mostly do football and horses, nothing mad, for context.
The reason I started using it was actually embarrassing — I couldn’t ever work out what an e/w return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just eyeball it and get a shock. Now I punch the numbers in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.
The single bet calculator is the one I open most — you drop in stake and odds and it spits out profit and total return straight away, either odds format. There’s also the multiples — acca and treble maths, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, which is where I’d always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s here each way bet calculator william hill and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
What really shifted things for me was the geekier bits. There’s an implied probability thing which shows you the overround, plus a kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is terrifying. The dutch tool is decent for when I’m splitting a race.
It’s not perfect mind. Its design feels pretty plain — no frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it works though the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. And no app, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.
So yeah. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does what it says. Anyone who honestly works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.
